Importance of calcium balance for the body

Importance of calcium balance for the body

Why do we need calcium?

Calcium is an important mineral needed for:

1. Formation of bones and teeth: Calcium is the main component of bone tissue and tooth enamel, ensuring their strength and health.

2. Blood clotting: Calcium is involved in the process of hemostasis, promoting blood clotting and preventing bleeding.

3. Muscle function: Calcium is necessary for muscle contraction, including the heart muscle. It helps transmit signals from nerves to muscles.

4. Transmission of nerve impulses: Calcium is involved in the transmission of nerve signals, which is important for the normal functioning of the nervous system.

5. Regulation of hormones and enzymes: Calcium affects the release of various hormones and enzymes that regulate many processes in the body.

6. Maintenance of acid-base balance: Calcium helps maintain optimal pH levels in the body, which is important for normal metabolism.

To maintain health, it is important to get enough calcium from food. Sources of calcium include dairy products, green leafy vegetables, fish, nuts and seeds, but remember that too much calcium in the body is just as fraught with negative consequences as calcium deficiency.

In the body, parathyroid hormone (PTH), which is produced by the parathyroid glands, is responsible for regulating calcium in the blood.

Problems with the parathyroid glands can lead to a variety of health disorders:

1. Hypoparathyroidism: This is a condition in which the parathyroid glands do not produce enough PTH. This can lead to low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia), which causes seizures, numbness, and even serious cardiovascular problems.

2. Hyperparathyroidism: This is a condition in which the parathyroid glands produce too much PTH. This can lead to high levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia), which causes fatigue, weakness, kidney problems, and even osteoporosis.

3. Tumors: The parathyroid glands can develop tumors, both benign and malignant. Benign tumors often lead to hyperparathyroidism.

The Parathyroid Gland and Duodenum Connection

Interestingly, the parathyroid glands have an indirect connection with the duodenum. Activated vitamin D is stimulated by parathyroid hormone and promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the intestines, including the duodenum. Thus, the health of the parathyroid glands directly affects the body’s ability to absorb important minerals from food.

How to maintain the health of the parathyroid glands

Nutrition. Include foods rich in calcium and vitamin D in your diet.

No bad habits

Physical activity to maintain healthy bones and muscle tissue

Regular blood test of calcium and parathyroid hormone levels

Preventive use of the multicomponent peptide bioregulator for the parathyroid gland ParathyroidTIDE PLUS

ParathyroidTIDE PLUS helps maintain the functions of the parathyroid gland and calcium balance.

A complex of natural peptides of animal origin at the core of the bioregulator restores cells, activates protein synthesis processes, regulates and maintains hormone production levels, normalizing calcium and phosphorus metabolism by activating the body’s own resources.

Calcium stimulates the parathyroid glands to produce PTH

Magnesium regulates the production of parathyroid hormone (PTH), which in turn affects the level of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium in the blood and bones

Vitamin D helps to absorb calcium from food, suppresses excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH)

Vitamin K affects the functioning of the parathyroid gland by participating in calcium metabolism.

ParathyroidTIDE PLUS is recommended for dysfunction of the parathyroid glands, ith increased need for calcium, with a removed thyroid gland to improve the absorption of calcium and vitamin D.

The parathyroid glands, despite their small size, play an irreplaceable role in maintaining health and normal functioning of the body.
