Prebiotics and probiotics. What is the difference and benefits?

Prebiotics and probiotics. What is the difference and benefits?

Prebiotics and probiotics are equally important for our body, but perform completely different functions. Many people confuse these concepts.

What is the difference between probiotics and prebiotics?

PROBIOTICS are non-pathogenic and non-toxigenic living microorganisms that are beneficial to humans: lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, saccharomyces, streptococci, enterococci, Escherichia and bacilli. Probiotics are necessary for the body to protect the gastrointestinal tract from pathogenic bacteria, infections, to regulate intestinal motility and improve digestion. Probiotics promote the absorption of microelements, maintain water-salt balance and neutralize the effects of antibiotics. However, the stomach is an unfavorable environment for probiotics; some of the bacteria in the probiotics die when passing through the gastrointestinal tract and some of the probiotics die when taking antibiotics. The survival of bacteria in probiotics improves when taking prebiotics.

PREBIOTICS are indigestible food components that feed the good bacteria in our intestines and enable them to outnumber the potentially harmful ones. Our gut microflora keeps changing. It consists of useful and harmful bacteria, and our health depends on the right balance between them. Prebiotics FEED the healthy bacteria and thereby make sure that they outnumber the harmful ones.

PREBIOTICS are nutritional substances necessary for the nutrition and growth of probiotics; they stimulate the growth and biological activity of the protective microflora of the human intestine - probiotics. Prebiotics cleanse the intestines of toxins and normalize the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and maintain the normal composition of the intestinal microflora. Prebiotics are not digested by the body’s food enzymes; they reach the intestines in their original form and are processed by the intestinal microflora. Prebiotics are also added to fermented dairy products to enhance the survival of probiotics. They can also be used as a substitute for sugar or fat. They can be used by diabetics considering their low glycemic index, which is their big advantage. Stress, irregular and imbalanced diet, psycho-physical fatigue, chronic diseases, high body temperature, and the use of medications, especially antibiotics create disturbed balance in the gut microflora are diarrhea, constipation, bloating, and a weakened immune system due to a lack of vitamins and minerals that cannot be absorbed in the intestines.

MicrofloraTIDE PLUS is a Prebiotic with Inulin,Natural Peptides extracted from the digestive tract,Vitamins and Plants, which normalize and restore beneficial intestinal microflora. The bioregulator helps stimulate natural processes of the intestines, restores the balance of the intestinal flora especially after taking antibiotics and other medications; elimantes bloating, boosts immunity, prevention from stomach ulcers, diabetes and dysbacreriosis.

The composition of the bioregulator is based on natural peptides of animal origin obtained from intestinal tissue cells. Peptides have a selective effect on intestinal tissue cells, prebiotic activity - the ability to create the environment necessary for the growth of beneficial bacteria, and at the same time suppress pathogenic microflora. Natural peptides, being natural metabolites of the body, are completely safe and very effective for the bioregulation of the balance of microorganisms living in the intestines.

The composition of the Peptide Bioregulator with Prebiotics is also enriched with natural beneficial ingredients:

  • L-Arginine has pronounced detoxifying and prebiotic activity, optimizes the work of muscle fibers in the intestines and enhances the process of absorption of nutrients by the intestines.
  • Dry extract of dandelion root (lat. Taraxacum officinale) is a superconcentrator of the natural prebiotic inulin (up to 40%).
  • Inulin is a natural prebiotic that promotes the proliferation of beneficial microflora, prevents the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, stimulates the contractility of the intestinal wall, accelerates the cleansing of the body from toxins and undigested food, eliminating constipation and diarrhea.
  • Vitamin B6 stimulates acid formation in the gastric mucosa
  • Thiamine hydrochloride is involved in energy production, carbohydrate metabolism, protein absorption and normalization of the central nervous system.

Prebiotics are more robust than probiotics because they can reach the gut intact, whereas there is no real guarantee that probiotics will. The take home message being that if you are looking to support the health of your gut microbiome you should reach for the prebiotics first. Prebiotics will nourish the beneficial microbes that make up the microbiota. However, if you are aware that your gut may be imbalanced, probiotics can help to seed your gut to provide a base for prebiotics to help nourish and grow your colonic community.

The effective effect of the bioregulator is noted in the complex therapy of gastrointestinal diseases in combination with My Real Way Peptide bioregulators for the digestive system and Peptide-Polysaccharide Medicinal Mushroom Complexes.
