Why is iodine deficiency in the body dangerous?

Iodine is a key micronutrient essential for normal thyroid function and the production of thyroid hormones, including thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3).
How thyroid hormones affect the body
Thyroid hormones play a huge role in regulating many physiological processes in the body.
- Metabolism regulation
Thyroid hormones regulate metabolism: water-salt, protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism.
- Development and growth of the body
The hormones T3 and T4 are important for proper growth and development, especially in childhood. They affect the development of the brain and other organs.
- Thermoregulation
Thyroid hormones help maintain normal body temperature by promoting heat production in the body.
- Cardiovascular System
They affect the heart rate, the strength of the heart contractions, and overall cardiovascular health.
- Mental Health
Thyroid hormones can affect the mood and cognitive function. Decreased or increased level of thyroid hormones can lead to depression or anxiety.
- Blood Sugar Regulation
They help control blood glucose levels by influencing carbohydrate metabolism.
- Effects on Other Hormones
Thyroid hormones interact with other hormones, such as insulin and cortisol, and can affect their actions.
Thyroid hormone imbalances can lead to conditions such as hypothyroidism (decreased level of hormones) or hyperthyroidism increased level of hormones).
What is the danger of iodine deficiency in the body?
Iodine deficiency in the body can lead to diseases such as goiter (enlargement of the thyroid gland), hypothyroidism (deficiency of thyroid hormones), and developmental disorders, especially in children.
With iodine deficiency, the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroxine (hypothyroidism). With a long-term iodine deficiency, the thyroid tissues attempt to compensate for the thyroxine deficiency by increasing the number of cells; as a result, the tissues grow, and a goiter develops.
The amount of thyroxine produced is not enough for normal regulation of metabolism and energy expenditure. As a result, body weight increases.
Iodine deficiency also affects the functioning of the nervous and cardiovascular systems: irritability, forgetfulness, and drowsiness appear, reaction time slows down, blood pressure increases and hemoglobin in the blood decreases.
How to prevent hypothyroidism
First of all, consult a doctor and get tested for hormones of thyroid gland and iodine. It is important to remember that their excess is just as harmful as their deficiency.
To prevent hypothyroidism and increase iodine levels, you need to:
- Eat foods rich in iodine - fish (tuna, shrimp, cod), seaweed, seaweed, cranberries, milk, white beans, pistachios, egg yolk, iodized salt
- Avoid consuming large amounts of iodine antagonists (soy, broccoli, cabbage)
- Eat sufficient amounts of vitamins and minerals that promote better absorption of iodine (for example, selenium)
- Take the multicomponent peptide bioregulator ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte for the thyroid gland and regulation of the formation of iodine-containing thyroid hormones.
Peptides as a basic component of ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte regulate the iodine balance in the body, the formation of iodine-containing thyroid hormones - triiodothyronine and thyroxine, as well as the peptide hormone calcitonin.
Regular use of this non-hormonal bioregulator increases the iodine level and, consequently, the level of thyroid hormones increases naturally.
The bioregulator also includes such active components as:
Amino acids are necessary for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, useful for brain activity, the nervous system, and energy production.
Zinc participates in the regulation of various functions of the immune system, it helps regulate the production of thyroid hormones.
Vitamin E participates in the metabolism of the thyroid gland and helps improve the production of thyroid hormones.
Iodine is necessary to maintain the balance of thyroid hormones.
IT IS IMPORTANT!
Before taking ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte, it is necessary to take tests for the level of iodine and hormones TSH, T4, and T3.
In case of low iodine and low hormone levels (hypothyroidism), it is recommended to take ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte to increase and maintain normal iodine and thyroid hormone levels and prevent the development of hypothyroidism, and goiter. ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte does not produce hormones but helps the thyroid gland function.
If the iodine level and hormone levels are higher than normal (hyperthyroidism), ThyroidTIDE PLUS forte is not recommended and ParathyroidTIDE PLUS forte for parathyroid glands should be taken instead.
When the thyroid gland is removed, it is necessary to take hormonal drugs with thyroid hormones. If the thyroid gland is removed, a calcium and vitamin D deficiency develops in the body. In this case, taking the peptide bioregulator ParathyroidTIDE PLUS forte can help the body absorb calcium and vitamin D.
