The components of the Lentinula edodes (Shiitake) complex — polysaccharide peptides isolated from fungi and belong to the non-ribosomal class. They exhibit more potent biological activity, possibly due to the stable configuration that the cyclic structure provides them. Polysaccharide peptides have multiple medicinal properties and are often antibiotics, cytostatics for antitumor effects, and immunosuppressants for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

Diagnosis: arterial hypertension, high cholesterol level.
